Our Beliefs

The basis of our beliefs is the Bible. We believe that all Scripture originated with God and was given to human authors. We hold that Scripture is inspired by God and has the final word on all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

The salvation of humanity is entirely dependent on God’s grace and is not the result of human work or effort. Each person can receive salvation by believing on Jesus, turning away from sin, publicly confessing Jesus to be the Son of God (Matthew 10:32), and being immersed in water for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38). Those who follow Christ and live faithfully in him are promised eternal life (Revelation 2:10).

The church was founded by and established by Jesus on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2. About 3,000 people obeyed the gospel on that day. The Bible teaches that there is but one body/church of our Lord (Ephesians 4:4). When a person obeys the gospel of Christ, God places him/her into the church and they become a member of Christ’s body. We invite all to accept God’s offer of salvation and become a member of the church Jesus established.
